Chixz Auto Garage/Chixz Initiative is a pioneering, female-led business enterprise and Community-Based Organization (CBO) driving Kenya’s green transition. We empower vulnerable, marginalized young women (aged 18–25) including those living with disabilities by equipping them with specialized technical skills in automotive mechanics and e-mobility. Operating a physical garage on Ngong Road in Nairobi alongside expanding operations in Kilifi County, Chixz Garage bridges the critical gender gap in the technical sector. Beyond standard automotive repairs, we serve rapidly growing electric fleets, offering high-integrity maintenance solutions that simultaneously reduce carbon emissions and champion sustainable e-waste management. This is through repair and maintenance of electric motorbike, bicycle, and tuk-tuk, with plans to scale into advanced battery repair, cell diagnostic testing, and retrofitting/conversion.To scale our footprint, Chixz Auto Garage deploys a unique, sustainable franchise model. Here, we are transforming traditional, male-dominated repair shops into women-led, decentralized "Repair Hubs." These hubs serve as localized centers of excellence that train female EV technicians and employ them in non-traditional roles as technicians and commercial riders, distribute high-quality, genuine spare parts, host critical e-mobility infrastructure including battery-charging and battery-swapping stations.Our commercial viability is secured through corporate partnerships.
