About
Girls for Girls Africa Mental Health Foundation (G4G Africa) is a survivor-led nonprofit organisation based in Mombasa, Kenya, advancing accessible mental healthcare, digital inclusion and economic empowerment. We support survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), adolescents, young women and persons with disabilities. Through our Mobile Therapy Unit, Kigoda Therapy Circles, tele-counselling, Gumzo Care digital platform and GARA Resilience Academy, we integrate psychosocial support, digital safety, AI literacy and livelihood skills to help underserved communities heal, learn, earn and thrive. In 2025, we reached 12,658 people across four coastal Kenyan counties.
Mission. Our mission is to simplify access to affordable, inclusive and survivor-centred mental healthcare for underserved communities, particularly survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), adolescents, young women, caregivers and persons with disabilities. We achieve this through community-based mental health services, mobile therapy clinics, tele-counselling, survivor-led Kigoda Therapy Circles, mental health literacy and pathways to justice. Through Gumzo Care, our digital mental health platform, and the G4G Africa Resilience Academy (GARA), we integrate technology-enabled psychosocial support, digital safety, AI literacy, future-ready skills and economic empowerment. Guided by our HEAL.LEARN.EARN philosophy, we empower individuals and communities to heal from trauma, build resilience, reclaim their dignity, access opportunities and thrive.
