About

Hands of Hope works to improve the quality of life of vulnerable and underserved communities by providing sustainable opportunities that enable people to become economically self-reliant. The organisation implements programmes in women and youth empowerment, vocational skills development, entrepreneurship and Business Development Services, WASH, sexual and reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, advocacy, and support for vulnerable women and children. Through skills training, mentorship, advocacy and community-based interventions, Hands of Hope seeks to address the root causes of poverty and inequality while creating opportunities for individuals and families to build more secure and dignified futures. As part of its commitment to supporting women, Hands of Hope is developing Mothers Love Recovery Home a six-bed women-centred recovery and wellness facility designed to provide women with a safe, supportive and dignified space to rest, recover, rethink and start again. The home will provide services including prenatal and postnatal support, newborn care, lactation support, counselling and wellness services. It will particularly support mothers during pregnancy and after childbirth, helping them recover physically and emotionally while receiving guidance and support in caring for themselves and their babies. The recovery home is envisioned as a social enterprise under Hands of Hope with profits reinvested into the organisation’s community programmes and initiatives.
