About
The National Organisation for People Living with Hepatitis B (NOPLHB) is a Uganda-based, patient-led organisation working at the intersection of community-based advocacy and global health policy on viral hepatitis, HIV prevention, and the elimination of vertical transmission (EVT) of HIV, hepatitis B, and syphilis. NOPLHB works through a consortium/coalition model, coordinating community-level implementation with national Ministry of Health priorities rather than operating in parallel to government systems.
Mission. To end viral hepatitis, HIV, and the vertical transmission of HIV, hepatitis B, and syphilis as public health threats in Uganda, through community-based patient advocacy, health system strengthening, and evidence-driven policy engagement.
